A Promise to nature for conservation of flora & fauna and their habitats in all forms through action oriented study and people's participation.

Nature's Foster, NGO of renown status in North-East India, with its head quarter in Bongaigaon, Assam, is solemnly dedicated to work for the conservation of all forms of natural resources in the region by preventing large scale destruction of forests, wildlife & their habitats. Major regions of our involvement includes the different National Parks, Wildlife Sanctuaries and Other protected areas of Assam, specially the Manas National Park, Kakoijana Reserve Forest, Urpad, Ultapani, Koilamoila have been the places of regular activities for the conservation of Golden Langur, Pigmy Hog, White Bellied Heron and many other endangered species of flora and fauna of the entire area.  Read more from our profile

Manas Biosphere Reserve
The Paradise of wilderness was setup on the 14th March, 1989, which is the first Biosphere Reserve in North East India. Read more

White bellied heron (Ardea insignis),also known as Imperial Heron, a critically endangered bird has been rescued by the local conservation groups New Horizon and Nature's Foster from Koila moila close to Manas NP, after it strayed into a settlement and local conservation group intervened. The rescue and subsequent documentation of this species is significant because there was no recent reporting of occurrence of the species from the Himalayan foothills of western Assam.
